    What is Mole?

A mole is a cluster of skin cells — usually brown or black — that can appear anywhere on your body. They usually show up before age 20. Generally, most are benign which means they are not cancerous.

One needs to be aware of any new mole's appearance later in life and keep track in case it starts to change in size, color or shape. It is best then to get it checked by a doctor who can determine if it is benign or not.

At Musk Clinic, we use radiowave device for removing moles. Radio wave surgery is a new technology that utilizes actual radio waves (similar to marine band radios) to melt away or cut tissue. This unique technology is extremely gentle to the tissues and causes much less damage than standard electrosurgery or other cutting or freezing techniques.

    Radiowave Mole Removal Procedure

With this simple technology it takes only seconds to remove moles and other lesions without cutting or stitching. If the lesion is suspicious, the doctor will biopsy the lesion before removal.

For benign lesions, a numbing cream is applied, and a small amount of local anesthesia is injected with an ultra-small needle under the mole.

Using specialized radiowave instruments, the mole is melted away down to the normal tissue. This generally takes less than a minute. After removing the mole, a raw area the size of the mole is left.

    What is Skin Tag?

A skin tag is a small flap of flesh-colored tissue that hangs off your skin by a thin stalk. You’re most likely to find one in an area where your skin rubs together, or in folds, like your armpits, neck, eyelids, under your breasts, or in your groin.

People who are overweight, have diabetes, or are pregnant get skin tags more often. They can show up whether you’re a man or woman. A skin tag is normally harmless and painless. You might want to have it removed if it gets in your way.

Something rubbing against it can irritate it or it may snag on jewelry or clothing. Your doctor will choose one of several ways to remove it during a clinic visit.

Sometimes people try and get rid of the tag themselves by cutting the skin tags. One shouldn’t do this as it can cause bleeding and possible infection.
